The SPEED Laboratory can offer custom versions of its motor design software, specialised to the particular needs of individual companies. We can also undertake projects to supply and maintain electric motor design software on a completely proprietary, custom basis, including collaboration with suppliers of finite-element and/or dynamic simulation software.
The SPEED Laboratory builds electronic drives, controllers and complete systems in brushless DC, switched reluctance, or
synchronous AC motor drives from the smallest sizes up to about 20kW. All hardware is designed and built to order under
contract, but we offer a more-or-less standard general purpose flexible controller for drive development, and special
mag-curve testers for measuring the magnetization curves of SR motors.
Note: SPEED does not supply electric motors except as part of a complete drive system.
Certain staff members of the SPEED Laboratory are qualified to serve as technical expert witness in litigation connected with electric motors and drive systems.
